To celebrate the global annual fashion festival, Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, we collaborate with our Partner, Covent Garden London, who host the ultimate fashion night out in September each year.
The unique Covent Garden neighbourhood is transformed into a fashion bazaar with not-to-be-missed entertainment – including celebrity DJ spin-offs, free canapés and champagne, stylist tutorials, fashion makeovers, pampering sessions and limited edition products.
Last year, marking the huge successes of winners and finalists from the previous seven seasons, Fashion Fringe opened a special pop-up store for one night only, located in Henrietta Street. Featuring the latest cutting-edge collections from Eun Jeong, LF Markey, Jade Kang, Alice Palmer and JENA.THEO, the store opened for an exclusive two-hour window as part of Fashion’s Night Out.
To add to the excitement, the very latest Fashion Fringe talent – 2011’s three finalists, FYODOR GOLAN, Heidi Leung and Nabil Nayal – each showcased a preview look from their Spring/Summer 2012 collections. The award-winning Canteen launched a pop-up restaurant-in-residence inside Covent Garden’s Market Building, which hosted a live model installation where the designers’ showcase pieces were displayed on their first catwalk – offering the first exciting glance of the Fashion Fringe 2011 show.
Fashion Fringe Founder & Creative Director, Colin McDowell, commented: “Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out is a great opportunity for us to remember and capitalise on the fact that, although times are undoubtedly hard, Fashion is a strong and vibrant as ever in London. Fashion Fringe is delighted is to be part of this especially as we are appearing in Covent Garden, one of the great cultural and artistic centres of London since the 18th Century and still going, stronger than ever.”
