Today saw the announcement of our ten Semi-Finalists, shortlisted by Christopher Bailey for the 2012 Fashion Fringe award. Exciting times for us, but even more so for each of them.

Fashion Fringe hits the road

We’re going back to University!
Because we know that some of the best and brightest fashion stars in the UK emerge from towns and cities far beyond London’s borders, we will be embarking on a regional tour of Britain between the 12th and the 20th of March.
Like in previous years, Colin McDowell will be visiting leading Universities throughout the UK, bringing with him a panel of the UK’s fashion elite – offering fashion students and local fashion professionals advice on how to succeed in various career paths within the industry.

The journey through SS12 has been absolutely incredible.The highs, the lows and the in-betweens seem to unite and I am left with a warm feeling in my heart.
Through the help and support of Fashion Fringe and the endless support of the panel including, to name a few, Claudia Schiffer, Anne Pitcher and Angela Quaintrell, I have arrived at a refined collection that is both commercially viable and also exudes confidence – all of which are characteristics that I embrace.

This insane trip feels like it just started yesterday but now it is all a part of our history.

The Saturday of the show was a surprisingly calm day for me. I just felt happy at the thought that I could shut off my brain from making garments for a while and just see the accumulation of all the work and intensity I’ve experienced in the last two months.

Going Gaga for Nabil Nayal

Legend of the pop scene, Lady Gaga, renowned for her outlandish style choices and experimental fashion, chose none other than Nabil Nayal when giving a feature interview to France’s ‘Sept à Huit’ lifestyle show on TF1 this weekend.
Gaga’s styling team pulled a selection of looks from Nabil’s SS12 collection, ‘All the Riches She Deserves’, which premiered on the Fashion Fringe catwalk at London Fashion Week this past September.
