For the moment, Fashion Fringe is a Womenswear only Award.

I am an Accessories designer, can I enter?

We have a separate award dedicated to Accessories (footwear and bags) – see the Fashion Fringe Accessories page for more information

I am currently in full-time education, can I still apply?

As per our minimum criteria, you must be at least 21 years of age on the application deadline date in order to apply for Fashion Fringe. In addition, we cannot accept applications from those who are still in full-time Further Education who will still have academic commitments after the application deadline. If you are in your final year of study, and have completed all coursework and examinations by the application deadline, then we will accept your application.

I am currently employed by a design house – what should I tell my employer?

From the previous experience of several Semi Finalists, Finalists and Winners of Fashion Fringe who have all been employed by large commercial labels prior to their application, our advice is always to be honest and open from the start. As Fashion Fringe is considered by the industry to be a prestigious accolade – whichever stage you might reach – fashion employers tend to be only supportive of designers applying. It is a credible recognition of the talent within their own organization. As press and publicity campaigns begin from Semi Finalist stage onwards, we recommend all applicants have an open conversation with their employer from the moment they apply, so no announcements come as a surprise.
